NOWADAYS: The group answers a few questions for its anniversary

Cube Entertainment‘s young talent group NOWADAYS delivered its anniversary speech.

NOWADAYS (Hyeonbin, Yoon, Yeonwoo, Jinhyuk, Siyun) unveiled their first-anniversary celebrations today. After releasing their debut single “NOWADAYS” on April 2, the members of NOWADAYS have been active with the release of their digital single “RAINY DAY (2024 Remake ver.),” their second single “NOWHERE” (nowwear), and their second digital single “LET’S GET IT.”

“NOWHERE” has performed well with each release. It notably outsold their first album, revealing the endless possibilities of a group on the rise.

Since then, they have established themselves as a top rookie, winning the “IS Rookie” award at the “2024 Korea Grand Music Awards” and the “Blooming Star” award at the “32nd Anniversary Hanteo Music Awards 2024.” At the 39th Golden Disc Awards, he played an active role as the main character in the “Golden Choice,” a stage reserved for potential rookies.

To celebrate the first anniversary of its debut, NOWADAYS will launch its Bubble channel “Dear U” at 11 a.m. KST to connect more broadly with its fans. Furthermore, NOWADAYS, which achieved excellent performances last year, will take a leap forward in 2025 with his unique music and passion.

Q. How do you feel about your first debut anniversary?

HYEONBIN: I can’t believe it’s our first anniversary, and I’m really grateful to the members and DAY_AND for being with us.
YOON: It was such a happy time, and I want to create great memories with DAY_AND in the future.
YEONWOO: It’s amazing that a year has already passed, and I’m happy to be loved by so many people.
JINHYUK: It was a very happy year because we created wonderful memories.
SIYUN: I’m proud to have created so many unforgettable memories this year.

Q. What was your most memorable activity or moment?

HYEONBIN: I especially remember my first appearance on a music show as NOWADAYS.
YOON: It was the first day of the show. I was both very nervous and excited before my first performance.
YEONWOO: The launch showcase was the most memorable. It was the first time I’d been on a stage, something I’d dreamed of for a long time.
JINHYUK: It was the moment we saw a packed concert hall of DAY_AND during a mini-live in Japan and Macau.
SIYUN: The day I met DAY_AND for the first time after my debut and won the Rookie of the Year award.

Q. What is the musical universe of NOWADAYS that you’ve created over the past year?

HYEONBIN: Once you listen to it, you can’t help but fall in love with NOWADAYS.
YOON: Music that brings comfort and emotion to DAY_AND. I want to continue to be a force for you without tiring.
YEONWOO: People always say we should convey good energy and influence as many people as possible through our music, but I think we’ve put a lot of effort into achieving that goal.
JINHYUK: I tried to play diverse music.
SIYUN: We presented songs with different NOWADAYS concepts.

Q. What dreams or goals does NOWDAYS want to achieve this year?

HYEONBIN: My goal this year is to hold a solo concert.
YOON: I want to work hard and win first place on a music show.
YEONWOO: We want to dedicate the first place on music shows to DAY_AND, who always support us and love us sincerely.
JINHYUK: This year, we’ll meet more of DAY_AND and try to return to the stage at the awards ceremony.
SIYUN: I want to win first place on a music show and I want to meet DAY_AND more often than last year.

Q. If you have a word to say to the members who have been with you for the past year, what would you say?

HYEONBIN: Thank you for your hard work over the past year. This is just the beginning, so let’s keep working hard and making good memories!
YOON: Thank you for being with me, and I will be a person capable of giving as much as you have helped me. Thank you so much, and I love you. Let’s be together forever!
YEONWOO: As hard as we have worked, let’s stay together in the future! Be healthy both physically and mentally.
JINHYUK: You’ve worked hard for a year, and let’s continue to do more together!
SIYUN: Let’s work harder and get better grades than last year. Well done!

Q. Finally, a word to DAY_AND, who always offer you their love and support.

HYEONBIN: DAY_AND, thank you for loving NOWADAYS for over a year. We won’t forget this favor and will repay you with great performances!
YOON: Our DAY_ANDs who always support and love us! NOWADAYS is already a year old. We have much more time to spend together than last time, so let’s love each other even more. We will continue to do our best!
YEONWOO: DAY_AND! Thank you for always loving me so generously. Thank you for letting me shine on stage. We will repay you with better performances!
