On May 10, 2025, actor CHOI SI HOON of POLARIS ENTERTAINMENT, and husband of singer AILEE, announced a firm response to the malicious rumors circulating online. AILEE had previously mentioned plans to take legal action against those responsible for such posts, and the couple has now made it clear they will no longer tolerate the spread of false information.
CHOI SI HOON’s representative stated :
« Currently, false information, malicious slander, and insulting messages are spreading widely across online communities and social media, reaching an alarming level. We are actively monitoring the situation, gathering evidence, and cooperating with the relevant authorities to identify the perpetrators. To protect our clients, we will take immediate civil and criminal action against acts such as the dissemination of false information, defamation, and insults. »
On May 7, A2Z ENTERTAINMENT, AILEE’s agency, also issued an official statement : « We are determined not to overlook the seriousness of the situation caused by malicious posts targeting our artist AILEE, and we plan to initiate legal proceedings. » The agency further emphasized that « there will be no settlements or leniency in this legal process », underlining its zero-tolerance policy.
AILEE and CHOI SI HOON were married last month at their home in Gangnam, Seoul. However, even before their wedding, they had already been targeted by various rumors. CHOI SI HOON addressed these rumors directly on his YouTube channel, while AILEE expressed her distress regarding the situation on several television programs.
In response, the couple has decided to pursue legal action against the spread of false information and declared they will now respond directly and systematically to malicious attacks.
