Global entertainment company Blitzway Entertainment Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Lee Seung Woo and Choi Seung Won) has acquired music label KLAP Entertainment (CEO Lee Sun).
By incorporating KLAP Entertainment as a subsidiary, Blitzway Entertainment officially expands its business scope from a primary focus on actors and drama content to the management of K-POP artists. This acquisition aligns with the company’s “content-centered strategy,” implemented following its rebranding, and aims to establish the music industry as a new pillar—accelerating its growth as a global entertainment company built on intellectual property (IP).
KLAP Entertainment is a specialized label that has successfully led various project groups, including the global girl group Kep1er, formed through Mnet’s “Girls Planet 999“, the JTBC “Peak Time” winning team VANNER, and the duo Sistar19. KLAP Entertainment is currently headed by Lee Sun, former Head of Music at CJ ENM and former CEO of WAKEONE. With extensive experience in global projects and a wide-reaching network, Lee Sun has consistently demonstrated the ability to expand artist IP potential in international markets.
Blitzway Entertainment President Bae Sung Woong shared his expectations, stating:
“This acquisition goes beyond a simple merger of labels; KLAP Entertainment’s music production capabilities and global distribution network, combined with Blitzway Entertainment’s content infrastructure, will create powerful synergy.”
He also commented on the recent name change from “Blitzway Studio” to “Blitzway Entertainment” and the shift to a content-centered business structure:“With this acquisition of KLAP Entertainment, we are taking another step toward building a comprehensive IP branding system that also incorporates music.”
As a subsidiary of Blitzway Entertainment, KLAP Entertainment plans to accelerate the recruitment and development of K-POP artists. The company will especially focus on training “crossover artists” who can combine music and acting, establishing a talent development system that transcends both content and performance. This strategic approach aims to maximize both the monetization potential of artist IPs and their global market reach.
In addition, Blitzway Entertainment—now including KLAP Entertainment as a subsidiary—manages a diverse roster of actors active across multiple genres, including Joo Jihoon, Jung Ryeowon, Chun Woohee, Moon Chaewon, In Gyojin, So Yihyun, Son Dambi, Park Hasun, Woo Dohwan, Jung Insun, Yoon Park, Kwak Dongyeon, Kim Yerim, and Chae Seoan. By adding the music industry to its already solid foundation in actor management and content production, Blitzway Entertainment continues to expand its multi-dimensional presence across the entire entertainment landscape.
