Artist and producer ZICO shared precious memories with his fans.
On July 5th and 6th, ZICO held his “ZICO FANMEETING <COMvenience>” at SOL Travel Hall in Blue Square, Yongsan, Seoul, where he met with his fans.
This fan meeting, designed around the concept of a convenience store, aimed to offer a casual, friendly moment, like a conversation between friends sitting outside a convenience store on a summer evening. ZICO transformed into an employee at the “COMmon Convenience Store,” a nod to the name of his fandom, “COMMON”, and kicked off the event with an energetic performance of “Summer hate.”
He performed 8 live songs with a band and hosted fun segments to entertain his fans. ZICO sang on request in real-time, took on various challenges, played games like the “Balance Game”, tried on different costumes, and eagerly responded to the audience’s requests. With 14 years of experience in his career, ZICO created a relaxed atmosphere and interacted with his fans in a humorous and natural way.
After discovering a letter from a fan awaiting his musical return, ZICO shared an exclusive snippet of an unreleased song he was working on. He also revealed for the first time the guide version of “like JENNIE“, a song by BLACKPINK’s JENNIE, which he wrote and composed himself, sparking a passionate reaction from the audience. He said:
“I’m constantly working on new songs. I think about the release date, the level of completion, and the message I want to convey. I set high standards for myself and strive to meet them. Through my new songs, collaborations, and production, I will keep making sure you can consume my music.”
His words were met with a round of enthusiastic applause.
ZICO’s talent particularly shone during the live performances. His stage presence, combined with the energy of the band, resulted in an exceptional show. Each night featured a different, richly composed setlist. He performed popular tracks like “Any song“, “Artist”, “Boys and girls (feat. Babylon)”, as well as fan-requested songs like “I’m still fly“ and “Letter”, heating up the atmosphere in the venue. The crowd sang in unison, followed the choreography, and danced with excitement, savoring every moment of the concert. In response to this enthusiasm, ZICO surprised everyone by performing “SPOT! (feat. JENNIE)” as an encore.
To close the event, ZICO said emotionally:
“Thank you for sharing a day with me that I will never forget. I’ll make sure there are many more like this. I want the phrases ‘see you soon’ and ‘I’ll see you later’ to become natural between us.”
He also promised, “I want to be an artist you can be proud of. My music will never stop.” This announcement left fans eagerly anticipating what’s next.
