SEVENTEEN has once again proven their strength as a leading K-pop group by topping the album chart for the first half of the year.

According to the Circle Chart for the first half of 2025, released on July 11, SEVENTEEN’s 5th studio album “HAPPY BURSTDAY” ranked No. 1 on the album chart.
With just the standard version of the album, SEVENTEEN sold over 2.53 million copies. Including the kit version (ranked 47th) and the Weverse version (52nd), total sales exceeded 2.92 million, raising expectations for the year’s first triple million-seller.
Special units BSS (BooSeokSoon) and HOSHI X WOOZI also achieved strong results. BSS’s second single “TELEPARTY” ranked 22nd (standard), 67th (Weverse), and 95th (kit), with total sales surpassing 686,000 copies in the first half of the year. HOSHI X WOOZI’s first single “BEAM” ranked 31st in its standard version.
Including past releases such as the 11th mini-album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN” (2023, ranked 93rd) and the 4th full album “FACE THE SUN” (2022, ranked 99th), SEVENTEEN placed a total of 9 albums in the Top 100.
After topping Circle Chart’s year-end album rankings in both 2023 and 2024, SEVENTEEN has once again claimed the No. 1 spot for the first half of 2025, reaffirming their status as the undisputed kings of physical album sales.
SEVENTEEN’s digital performance also stands out. They landed five songs, including “Thunder”, the title track from their 5th studio album, on the Circle Chart’s Global K-pop chart for the first half of 2025, and four songs on the digital chart. On the download chart, a total of 19 tracks made the rankings: all 16 songs from the 5th album, plus BSS’s “청바지 (Jean)”, HOSHI X WOOZI’s “동갑내기 (Same Age)”, and JEONGHAN’s “Better half” (feat. Omoinotake).
