“THE BEST K-Trot SINGER” is returning for its third season.
Production company Crea Studio announced today (July 14) that the series “THE BEST K-Trot SINGER“ (현역가왕) will make its much-anticipated comeback this December with Season 3.
This new season will once again shine a spotlight on female singers. After a first season dedicated to women and a second focused on men, the competition returns to honor female vocalists. The first recording is scheduled for October.
Season 1 recorded a peak national viewership rating of 18.4% (according to Nielsen Korea) during its final episode, ranking #1 among all entertainment shows, both on public and private networks. Season 2 followed up on this success, maintaining the top spot in its time slot across all channels and becoming Tuesday’s #1 entertainment program. Its final episode set a new record with 2.43 million live votes, which was 160,000 more than the previous season.
