Actor KIM YOHAN has made a striking transformation, successfully portraying a rebellious character with depth.

On July 25, KIM YOHAN made a strong impression in SBS’s new Friday–Saturday drama “The winning try“ (written by Lim Jin-a / directed by Jang Young-seok), taking on the role of Yoon Seong Jun, the captain of Hanyang High School’s rugby team.
In the series, Yoon Seong Jun is a by-the-book (FM) team captain who leads a rugby squad that consistently ranks last. Despite being overlooked by the school due to poor results, and the arrival of new head coach Joo Garam (played by Yoon Gye-sang), a disgraced former national player caught up in a doping scandal, Yoon Seong-jun remains committed to keeping his team united.
Seong Jun openly displays his resentment toward Joo Garam, even walking out of practice with his teammates in protest, revealing his bold and defiant nature. In a powerful confrontation, he says with a voice full of despair:
“You destroyed your own career—so what could you possibly teach us? You ruined rugby. I’ll never acknowledge you as our coach.”
This moment reflects Seong-jun’s raw sincerity and deep love for the sport.
KIM YOHAN brings authenticity to the role by conveying a wide range of emotions through his expressions. Every sharp line he delivers to Joo Garam is grounded in his passion for rugby, giving the character emotional weight and conviction.
In addition to his performance, KIM YOHAN’s athletic build, broad shoulders and defined muscular arms, makes him a convincing rugby player and has certainly caught the attention of many viewers. Whether he’s showing fierce determination or youthful immaturity, he captures the essence of a passionate young man, raising expectations for what’s to come.
“The winning try”, where KIM YOHAN shines through both his acting and physical presence, airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM KST on SBS.
