The group KEP1ER is aiming for the title of “Summer queens.”
On August 4, their agency WakeOne announced:
“KEP1ER (Yujin, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, and Youngeun) will be making its comeback on August 19 with their seventh mini-album titled ‘BUBBLE GUM’, showcasing a new side of the group.”
This new release marks their return roughly nine months after their sixth mini-album “TAPEI-TAP“, which came out last November. Alongside the comeback announcement, KEP1ER also unveiled teaser images for “BUBBLE GUM“, giving fans a taste of the album’s overall vibe.
The teaser image gives off a refreshing feel, featuring a hot pink background and a handful of bubble gum styled like a poster for an ice cream shop.
The bubble gum pieces, in vivid purple, pink, and mint colors, create curiosity about the concept KEP1ER will bring with this new release.
Originally formed through Mnet’s survival show “Girls Planet 999”, KEP1ER is the first group from such a program to officially renew its contracts. Known for its talent, individual charisma, and strong teamwork, the group continues to stand out. However, this comeback will feature only six members, as Seo Youngeun is currently on a health-related hiatus.
Leading up to the August 19 release of “BUBBLE GUM“, KEP1ER will gradually roll out promotional content for the album. Additionally, starting September 20, they will kick off their concert tour: “2025 KEP1ER CONCERT TOUR Into The Orbit: Kep1asia.”
