HYOJIN, a member of the group ONF, is launching his first YouTube channel.
HYOJIN, the leader of ONF’s “Team ON” and well-known for his strong and emotional vocals, is opening his new YouTube channel today (August 8) titled « 김효진짜맛있다 », a play on words meaning both “This is really delicious” and “This is really Hyojin Kim.”
« 김효진짜맛있다 » is a mukbang show with a unique concept, where HYOJIN, nicknamed “the food king among idols”, personally tastes various dishes and expresses them through music.
In the very first episode airing today (August 8), HYOJIN tries a variety of energy-boosting foods as part of a “revitalizing summer cuisine special.” He reviews a seasonal, nutritious gourmet menu served at a luxury hotel, as well as newly launched products available at supermarkets and convenience stores. He evaluates the dishes based on taste, texture, value for money, and fun factor, with his trademark humor-filled reactions sure to make viewers hungry.
In addition, each episode will feature a signature segment: using AI, HYOJIN will compose and perform a commercial jingle (CM song) inspired by the dish he tried. The teaser released on August 7, showing HYOJIN recording the channel’s theme song, has already built up anticipation ahead of the official launch.
The production team stated: “Unlike his charismatic image on stage, HYOJIN’s bright and cheerful side fits perfectly with this mukbang content centered on new food products.” They added: “Look forward to a fresh take on mukbang that blends K-pop and K-food.”
HYOJIN’s YouTube channel, « 김효진짜맛있다 », will air every Friday at 5:30 PM (KST).
