On August 7, SUNMI officially announced her comeback by releasing a video titled “Sunmi Comeback Trailer: Bass(ad)” on her official YouTube channel.
The video features a powerful bass line played by SUNMI herself, fueling anticipation around her upcoming musical evolution.
SUNMI draws attention with a bold look: short golden hair, smoky eye makeup, white tube top, oversized denim jacket, and high heels, creating an aesthetic that’s both decadent and intense. In particular, her impactful bass performance hints at a radical transformation of her image.
This trailer recalls the teaser for Wonder Girls’ “REBOOT,” which already established a strong connection between SUNMI and the bass, reigniting fans’ nostalgia. At the end of the video, the release date appears: “2025.08.26 18:00 KST,” officially confirming the imminent launch of this highly anticipated comeback.
This return marks her first in about a year and two months, since the release of her digital single “BALLON IN LOVE” last June.
