On the 12th, Megameta announced that the virtual girl group IXIA will debut this month.
Megameta is a company specializing in artist production and entertainment. It is led by Na Byung Jun, a producer and creator who is the former founder of Fantagio and has helped launch numerous idol singers and actors such as Cha Eun Woo, Seo Kang Jun, and Ha Jung Woo. IXIA is Megameta’s first virtual artist intellectual property (IP) project. Like the virtual boy group PLAVE, real people stand behind the characters to sing and dance.
The group consists of four members: CHEONG-A, HAERANG, LUHWA, and JIYA. Megameta stated:
“We formed the members from music majors. Beyond producing, songwriting, and composing, this is a virtual idol group with outstanding vocal and dance skills. Their foreign language proficiency will enable them to grow into a competitive virtual girl group in the global market.”
The day before, IXIA posted an animated version of its logo on its official social media accounts, signaling that their debut is imminent. The group plans to present music and performances carrying messages of love and hope, based on a narrative universe featuring ‘four young girls with special powers to protect love.’ More detailed information about the debut date will be announced later.
