G-DRAGON celebrated BIGBANG’s 19th anniversary.

On August 19, G-DRAGON posted a photo on his social media without any caption, simply tagging TAEYANG and DAESUNG’s accounts.
The photo shows a crosswalk on an asphalt road, with the name “BIGBANG” painted in yellow. Notably, the letters I and G were replaced with the numbers 1 and 9 to symbolize the 19th anniversary, drawing attention.
This post marks BIGBANG’s 19th anniversary. The group made their first appearance on August 19, 2006, during the YG Family 10th Anniversary Concert. Their first televised performance was on MBC’s Show! Music Core. Since then, BIGBANG has, true to their name, created a “big bang” in the Korean music industry. With hit songs like “Lies” and “Haru Haru“ (“Day by Day”), they rose to the status of national artists and earned recognition for their strong production skills.
However, it wasn’t always smooth sailing. Member T.O.P suspended his activities in 2017 following a marijuana case, and SEUNGRI retired from the entertainment industry in 2019 after being implicated in the Burning Sun scandal. As a result, only G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG are currently active on stage.
Now, all eyes are on BIGBANG to see what they will bring to the table for their 19th anniversary.
