MIYEON, a member of I-DLE, has marked her growth as a singer-songwriter with the release of her first self-produced track.
On August 28 at 6 p.m. KST, MIYEON released her digital single “SKY WALKING.” This song, in which she personally took part in both writing the lyrics and composing, holds a particularly special meaning for her fans.
That same day, a special “Macao version” clip was unveiled, showing MIYEON singing while freely strolling through the streets of Macao, as well as performing with her clear and refreshing vocals on the rooftop of a skyscraper. The stunning visuals, combined with Macao’s daytime and nighttime scenery, captured viewers’ attention.
Through Cube Entertainment, MIYEON shared her thoughts:
“After performing “Sky walking” for the first time at the concert, I had been eagerly waiting for its release. Since it’s the very first self-composed song I revealed to Neverland (our fandom), it carries an even deeper meaning for me. I hope this song feels like a gift full of good vibes, and I promise to repay you with even greater music in the future.”
“Sky walking” is an alternative pop track led by a strong bassline and drums, layered with 1980s-inspired guitar and synths. The result is a dreamy yet upbeat atmosphere. The hopeful lyrics blend seamlessly with MIYEON’s signature clear and refreshing vocals, delivering a bright and liberating energy.
The song was first unveiled during the Seoul concert of I-DLE’s third world tour,”2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [iDOL]“, in August last year, where it already received an enthusiastic response.
