The newly formed boy group AM8IC (엠빅), who are preparing for its debut, are already capturing industry interest thanks to the diverse background of YOON BEOMRO, CEO of Tov Entertainment.
Tov Entertainment officially announced AM8IC’s formation on October 1, with plans for a second-half debut. The name AM8IC blends “AMBI-,” meaning “bidirectional,” and “CONNECT,” indicating “connection.” It reflects a storytelling concept: a group of lost youths forging genuine connections to grow and find redemption,an original identity for the group.
YOON BEOMRO, the Tov Entertainment CEO spearheading AM8IC’s debut, is a Korean choreographer and former head of training who built his career in China. From 2015 to 2022, he trained over 800 trainees across 50 Chinese production companies, contributing significantly to global artist development.
He also played a role in China’s version of Produce 101, known as Youth With You 2 (청춘유니2), helping to select members for the debut lineup. Additionally, he drew attention through his involvement in the Chinese Unpretty Rapstar,the hip-hop survival show 黑怕女孩 (Black Girl),where one of his trainees emerged as the winner. He launched the Chinese girl group FANXY RED, bridging the Korean and Chinese entertainment markets, earning recognition for identifying talent and bringing localized strategic planning.
Thanks to these achievements, YOON BEOMRO was featured in interviews with leading Chinese media such as the economic magazine Shangjie and the online platform Yule Ziben Lun (娱乐资本论). In 2021, he ranked 27th in a chart evaluating entertainment industry potential in China. He’s also amassed over 16 million followers on his global social media accounts, drawing attention from fans worldwide.
Having achieved exceptional results while running a China-based entertainment venture, Yoon Beom-no now leads the launch of AM8IC, a group poised to open a new horizon for K‑POP with the musical expertise he has accumulated. As a potential frontrunner of the Fifth Generation of idols, AM8IC carries high expectations.
In anticipation of its year-end debut, AM8IC is currently in full preparation. They plan to showcase their unique world through a cinematic, dark fantasy narrative, centering on one of K‑POP’s signature concepts: the group’s universe.
