I-DLE - YUQI , Wang Anyu
I-DLE’s YUQI created an emotional atmosphere alongside Chinese actor Wang Anyu.
On September 9, Cube Entertainment released on I-DLE’s official channels (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) the intro film for “It hurts”, one of the tracks from YUQI’s first single “MOTIVATION”.
In the intro film, YUQI, refusing to sign a solo artist contract, runs out of the office holding Wang Anyu’s hand, while his narration follows as he watches her. Their intense acting and the cinematic visuals, reminiscent of a real movie, heightened expectations for the full music video.
Previously released concept photos for “It hurts” had already drawn attention, capturing YUQI and Wang Anyu in moments portraying a couple.
The pairing of YUQI with Wang Anyu, a rising star in the Chinese entertainment scene, has attracted strong local interest. On the popular Chinese SNS platform Weibo, the announcement of Wang Anyu’s appearance in the “It hurts” music video sent related keywords soaring to the top of the trending charts.
“It hurts“, included in YUQI’s first single “MOTIVATION”, is a song written and composed by YUQI herself. The music video will premiere on September 10 at 12 a.m. KST. After showcasing continuous transformations, from a fairy-tale concept reminiscent of “Alice in Wonderland” to the dramatic storytelling of “It hurts“, anticipation is growing over what she will reveal with the title track “M.O.”.
YUQI’s first single “MOTIVATION” will be released on September 16 at 6 p.m. KST across various music platforms.
