CNU, a member of the group B1A4, is showing a new side as an actor through “1도 없는 남자 (1 Degree man)”.
The TVING short-form original series “1도 없는 남자” (directed by Kim Jihwan / written by Kim Hye Young) tells the story of several seemingly perfect men who are each missing one essential trait, and the three close female friends who date them. It is a narrative about their growth and relationships.
In the series, CNU plays Seo Jae Hyun, a man with striking looks and physique but completely lacking in practical sense. He believes that his girlfriend Saemi (played by Nam Yu Jeong), who always takes care of him, is the woman of his destiny. Although clumsy and clueless when it comes to love, he radiates the irresistible charm of an endearing younger man, sure to make viewers’ hearts flutter.
Notably, CNU recently appeared in the musical “Paradise”, playing the role of Lee Kang, an independence activist torn between shattered ideals and harsh reality during a turbulent era, showcasing a performance filled with depth. With this new project, he is set to reveal a completely different side, heightening anticipation.
So far, CNU has built a solid acting filmography with diverse projects such as the SBS drama “Ms. Ma: Nemesis”, tvN’s “O’PENing (2022) – Please Claim Your First Prize Winnings“, as well as numerous musicals including “Chess”, “The three musketeers”, “Hamlet”, “Gwangju”, “The Goddess is Watching“, and “Paradise”. Alongside his activities with B1A4, he continues to establish himself as a versatile artist—both singer and actor, receiving much love from the public.
Meanwhile, the TVING short-form original series “1도 없는 남자”, starring CNU, will premiere on September 15.
