I.M
I.M of MONSTA X is now a free agent, marking the end of his contract with Sony Music.

I.M, a member of the group MONSTA X, is now on the free agent (FA) market.
His agency, Sony Music Korea, announced on September 15 via its official social media channels:
“After careful discussions, we have mutually agreed to terminate the exclusive contract with our artist I.M.”
They added:
“Since signing his exclusive contract with Sony Music Korea in 2022, I.M has spent three years further developing his unique musical universe. We express our deep gratitude to I.M for sharing his music and sincerity, and we will continue to support him with affection. We also ask for continued interest and love for I.M’s future as he embarks on a new chapter.”
I.M left Starship Entertainment in August 2022 and signed with Sony Music Korea in November of the same year. He released solo albums including the digital single “SLOWLY” and the mini-albums “OVERDRIVE” and “OFF THE BEAT”. He also held his first solo world tour, “I.M WORLD TOUR 〈Off The Beat〉 FINAL IN SEOUL”, which took place from last May to January of this year in 18 cities across 10 countries.
Despite leaving Starship Entertainment, he continued participating in group activities with the agency. In July and August, MONSTA X celebrated their 10th anniversary with the full-group concert “2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X” in Korea and Japan.
On September 1, MONSTA X released their new mini-album “THE X” and began promotions for the title track “N the front”. I.M temporarily paused activities in July due to a back injury. While he could not participate in televised performances, he took part in live stages as much as his condition allowed.
Finally, I.M, the youngest member of MONSTA X, born in 1996, is the only member who has not yet completed his mandatory military service and is preparing to enlist.
