Singer HANGENG successfully concluded his 20th-anniversary debut concert amid the enthusiastic cheers of his fans.
On September 13, HANGENG held his 20th-anniversary commemorative concert, titled “약속대로 (As promised)”, at Lafayette in Beichangping, China, creating unforgettable memories with his fans.
Since his debut in 2005, he expressed his gratitude to those who have stayed by his side with a loyal heart as he grew from an idol into a versatile artist.
HANGENG arrived by helicopter and kicked off the show with a spectacular entrance, landing at the center of the stage to the rhythm of the song “My logo”, wearing a black suit and sunglasses. Fans, looking up at the sky to greet him, waved tens of thousands of light sticks and cheered passionately.
The performance featured particularly impressive visual effects, utilizing naked-eye 3D technology, multiple moving LED panels, and a stage extending in three directions, creating a dazzling visual experience. On top of that, a massive screen measuring 130 meters long and 1,385 square meters in total area added to the captivating spectacle, making it impossible to look away.
Next came the ballad stage of “적어도 네가 있으니 (At least you’re here)”, while 20th-anniversary congratulatory letters sent directly by fans appeared on the main LED screen, adding an emotional touch. In addition, his most popular hits and key scenes from films and dramas he had appeared in over the past 20 years were shown on the screen, allowing everyone to relive those memories together.
HANGENG also delivered a meaningful performance with special guests. He invited the daughter of the famous Chinese actor She Yuan, as well as children from the FKM dance troupe, to perform the song “세계의 구석구석 (Every corner of the world)”, leaving the audience with a pure and warm impression.
During the encore, he surprised fans by presenting a newly arranged version of the song “사랑의 날개 (Wings of Love)”, a gift from his fans, under the title “Wings of Love 2025”, in appreciation of their love. Notably, the sudden rain during the concert, combined with the lyrics “I’ll give you the strength to weather the storm”, amplified the emotional impact of the song.
Despite the heavy downpour, HANGENG moved across the stage, making close eye contact and interacting with fans, creating memorable moments. The audience rose to sing along passionately, producing a harmony between the artist and his fans, bringing the energy of the concert to its peak for a memorable finale.
