MONSTA X - MINHYUK
MONSTA X member MINHYUK continues his unique path as an “art-tainer” (artist-entertainer).
According to his agency, Starship Entertainment, MINHYUK will take part as the audio guide for the exhibition “머무르는 순간, 흐르는 마음 (Staying Moments, Flowing Hearts)”, organized by the Suwon Museum of Art in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
The exhibition “머무르는 순간, 흐르는 마음” showcases works by major figures of modern and contemporary Korean art, including Na Hye Sseok, Park Soo Keun, Lim Kun Hong, Park Rae Hyun, and Chun Kyung Ja. It will run from September 26 to January 11. Visitors can scan a QR code inside the exhibition with their personal mobile devices to freely listen to the audio guide recorded by MINHYUK.
Since his debut in 2015, MINHYUK has shown deep interest and genuine affection for art. Not only does he customize outfits and props with his own drawings and calligraphy, but he also demonstrated his painting skills as the host of the Naver NOW. show “Vogue Ship Show” for one year and eight months, where he painted on canvas live while interacting with listeners and guests.
In 2023, he presented a collaborative exhibition with street artist Doezny and soft drink brand Mountain Dew. After completing his military service, he took part in the “K-Expo France 2024”, where he hosted an art talk show using his own paintings, further cementing his status as a true “art-tainer.”
Through his agency, MINHYUK shared:
“I would like to thank the Suwon Museum of Art for giving me the opportunity to participate as an audio guide in such a meaningful exhibition. I’m happy to be able to help introduce works of modern and contemporary Korean art, and it is an honor, in the museum’s 10th anniversary year, to be part of it with my voice. I hope ‘Staying Moments, Flowing Hearts’ will receive much attention and support.”
Meanwhile, MONSTA X, the group MINHYUK belongs to, recently wrapped up their first full-member comeback activities in about five years with the release of their new mini album “THE X.”
