CORTIS
The new group CORTIS (Martin, James, Joohoon, Seonghyeon, Keonho) has established itself as a rising force in K-pop by achieving remarkable results on the U.S. Billboard charts with its debut album.

According to the latest Billboard rankings in the U.S. published on September 23 (local time), CORTIS’ first EP album “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES” entered at No. 15 on the Billboard 200, the main albums chart. This is the second-best score ever achieved by a K-pop group’s debut album and the highest result excluding special projects.
Among rookies who debuted this year, CORTIS is the only one to enter the Billboard 200. It is also the first time in four years that a debut boy group reaches the Top 20. The group also climbed to No. 3 on the Top Album Sales chart and No. 2 on the World Albums chart. The opening track “Go!” ranked No. 180 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 136 on the Global (Excl. U.S.) chart, while “Fashion” reached No. 198, confirming the group’s global presence. With this momentum, CORTIS also entered the Artist 100 chart at No. 24.
CORTIS is drawing attention with its “Young Creator Crew” concept, a group that produces its own music, choreography, and videos. According to Spotify, their music is particularly popular in the U.S. Major international media have given them praise: Rolling Stone called them “a new form of K-pop group freed from conventions,” while Tomorrow Magazine highlighted “the raw energy and persistence driving the album.”
The self-produced music videos and performances have skyrocketed in YouTube trends, and their dance challenges have spread widely on social media, creating strong viral momentum. In particular, “Go!” reached No. 2 on the Spotify U.S. Daily Viral Songs chart.
CORTIS is the first group presented by BigHit Music in six years, following BTS and TXT. Only a month after their debut, they have already made a significant mark on the global charts, raising high expectations for the next steps of their journey.
