KIM JUNSU
The singer KIM JUN SU opened the second chapter of his concert series under the XIA brand, reaffirming his presence as a solo artist.
According to his agency PAMTREE ISLAND, KIM JUN SU performed from October 9 to 12 at the JAMSIL INDOOR STADIUM in SEOUL with “XIA 2025 CONCERT CHAPTER 2 : FESTA”. This Chapter series, organized for the first time in a year and a half, was praised for its musical diversity, combining varied sets, group live performances, extended staging, and shows ranging from dance to ballads, perfectly illustrating the identity of XIA concerts.
The concert opened with “OeO”, accompanied by visual VCRs and rearranged track sound. On stage, dance performances combined precise choreography and energy, while ballads revealed the emotion and unique voice of KIM JUN SU. The songs “Breath” and “Sunset” + “Tarantallegra” incorporated lightsticks to complete the singer’s signature stage presence. Ballads like “돌고 돌아도”, “여전히 영원히”, and “가지마” deeply moved the audience with their delicate expressiveness.
From the opening to the finale, the concert showcased the quality of staging and vocal stability characteristic of XIA performances. This second chapter, following “Chapter 1 : Recreation”, allowed KIM JUN SU to deepen his musical universe while creating a shared festival experience with his fans.
It was the first time the artist offered a solo concert over four consecutive days. Each performance was themed with four colors, red, green, blue, and purple, through lighting, projections, and LED screens. Confetti matching the colors accompanied slogans like “The moment we’ve been waiting for, our festival” and “Let’s enjoy the Festa”, enhancing the immersion and festive atmosphere.
During the concert, KIM JUN SU performed live for the first time his cover “내가 죽으려고 생각한 것은”, warmly applauded for its emotional depth. He also surprised fans with a snippet from his upcoming album, “그대 이별은 어떤가요”, offering a unique and special moment. This concert marked the beginning of a new chapter and the expansion of the Chapter series narrative.
Before performing the final song “다른 누구도 대신 못할 너”, he said:
“At every concert, I wonder if my fans will come, but their passionate support makes every moment magical.”
Following the encores, he returned to the stage to sing “Pit a pat”, connecting closely with the audience, and concluded the concert with “사쿠란보” (Sakuranbo) accompanied by an extended twenty-minute finale called “N쿠란보”.
This series of concerts was praised as a true festival shared between KIM JUN SU and his fandom, COCONUT, bringing together long-time fans, teenage viewers discovered through musicals, and families, proving once again the cross-generational and cross-genre impact of XIA.
After the four days of “XIA 2025 CONCERT CHAPTER 2 : FESTA”, KIM JUN SU will continue his activities from December 16 at the LG ART CENTER SEOUL with the musical “BEETLEJUICE”.
