On November 17, the international NGO WORLD VISION announced that it had received a donation of 60 million won from ATEEZ leader HONGJOONG and the ATINYs (fandom name), following the “2025 Global 6K for Water Running” campaign.

To celebrate his birthday, the captain of ATEEZ organized another edition of the “HONGJOONG 6K Special Run” for the “2025 Global 6K for Water Running” campaign. This campaign aims to highlight the challenges some children face in running 6 kilometers to obtain clean drinking water.
Between November 1st and 7th, approximately 4,000 Korean and international fans participated, running 6 km without time or location restrictions, and then posting proof of their run on social media, raising a total of 60 million won for the second year in a row.

In return for their participation, fans received various exclusive gifts, including a digital race bib featuring HONGJOONG, a photocard, a wake-up voice message, a special race playlist, and a certificate of participation. A social media sharing campaign was also launched, further boosting fan engagement and enthusiasm. Moreover, the campaign expanded this year by running simultaneously in Korea and Singapore in collaboration with WORLD VISION, bringing together an even larger number of international and local ATINYs.
Since 2022, HONGJOONG has collaborated with the NGO WORLD VISION on various children’s aid projects, such as “World Vision Dreaming Children” and the “Dream Wings Club“. His dedication and various contributions earned him a nomination in November 2024 to the “Bob Pierce Honor Club“, a group of major donors to the NGO. Following this latest edition, HONGJOONG stated:
“Running with the same spirit as my fans, I felt once again that some things are only possible together. I sincerely thank everyone who joined their hearts once again. I hope this can help, even in a small way, children and people in Africa facing challenges related to water and sanitation.”
CHO MYUNGHWAN, Chairman of WORLD VISION, also added: “I deeply thank HONGJOONG and his fans for once again turning his birthday into a moment of sharing. World Vision will do everything possible to ensure that this warmth gathered by running together becomes a source of hope for children.”
Finally, ATEEZ, of which HONGJOONG is a member, will perform at the Dream Concert, which will take place at Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi on November 22.
