KYUHYUN returns with ballads that will warm the winter.
On November 18, ANTENNA announced that KYUHYUN will release the EP album “THE CLASSIC” (더 클래식) on November 20 at 6 PM KST on music platforms. “THE CLASSIC” is KYUHYUN’s new album, unveiled about a year after the release of his studio album “COLORS” (컬러스) last November.
“THE CLASSIC” contains five ballads of classic charm, including the title track “첫눈처럼” as well as “낮잠”, “Goodbye, my friend”, “추억에 살아”, and “나침반”.
True to the title “THE CLASSIC”, KYUHYUN has chosen the “classic ballad method” and aims to offer music whose depth and value will endure over time. To achieve this, KYUHYUN worked to precisely express the emotional line unique to each track, infusing every song with a deeper sensitivity.
Additionally, lyrical and fluid melodies, universal lyrics, and a soft and enchanting voice combine to convey the intrinsic aesthetic of the ballad genre.
The title track “첫눈처럼” directly targets winter emotions. Expressing the beginning and end of a love through the passage of seasons, the song depicts the poignant memory of a love that arrived like the first snow and then melted away, conveyed through KYUHYUN’s heart-wrenching vocals.
