The group BTS has added a new streaming certification from the Japan Record Association.

On November 27, according to the Japan Record Association, BTS’s third studio album “LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘TEAR'”, with the track “The truth untold (feat. Steve Aoki)”, surpassed 50 million cumulative streams in October, receiving Gold streaming certification. With this distinction, BTS now holds a total of 47 Gold certifications, once again setting the record for the highest number for a KPOP artist.
The Japan Record Association awards certifications each month based on cumulative streams: Gold (over 50 million), Platinum (over 100 million), and Diamond (over 500 million).
“The truth untold (feat. Steve Aoki)” is a pop ballad highlighting the refined voices and subtle emotion of members JIN, JIMIN, V, and JUNGKOOK. The four members harmonize over a gentle melody, leaving a deep and lasting impression.
The track was again featured during JIN’s solo encore concert, where he played the piano and sang, eliciting a strong reaction from fans.
BTS also holds Diamond certifications for the tracks “Dynamite” and “Butter” from the Japan Record Association, a unique record for a Kpop artist. In particular, “Dynamite” reached 500 million streams in record time in Japan, earning the Diamond certification.
BTS plans to release a new album next spring, accompanied by a major world tour. On the fan platform Weverse, the members have recently shared images of their group work and personal activities, heightening fans’ anticipation for the new album.
