VVUP showcased a commanding charm worthy of a “super model.”
VVUP released the performance video for the track “Super model” from their first mini-album “VVON” on their official YouTube channel on November 27.
The video shows VVUP under a shower of flashes and a spectacular spotlight. They captured attention with powerful yet fluid choreography over a rhythmic beat led by electronic percussion and dance synths.
VVUP displayed a “super model” charisma with movements reminiscent of a runway show. Supported by strong teamwork, its remarkable ability to embody the concept shone brightly.
In particular, director Phuong Vu, a representative creator of Generation Z from Vietnam, once again oversaw the staging of this performance video after directing the music video, incorporating his unique visual aesthetic. Through dynamic camera movements, VVUP’s energy was maximized.
Furthermore, the first mini-album “VVON”, a title formed from the words “VIVID,” “VISION,” and “ON,” signifies “the moment when the light turns on.” Inspired by its phonetic similarity to “Born” and spelling resemblance to “Won,” VVUP conveys a narrative of being born, awakening, and overcoming.
With “VVON”, VVUP reached number one on the R&B/Soul iTunes charts in Indonesia and Thailand, while the track “Super model” topped the Apple Music chart in Qatar, demonstrating global popularity.
Progress in South America is also notable. “VVON” ranked high on Apple Music’s K-pop charts in Brazil and Portugal, and on iTunes charts in Mexico, “4 life”, “Locked on”, “Invested in you”, “Super model”, and “House party” all charted, achieving a true alignment across charts and generating high expectations for what comes next.
