JYP ENTERTAINMENT will hold the public audition for its 20th generation of trainees (Public Audition 20) in five cities across the country.
JYP ENTERTAINMENT will conduct this 20th generation public audition in 2026 to select the future leaders of Kpop. The JYP public audition for trainees is the agency’s main audition, having discovered many international artists such as JANG WOO YOUNG of 2PM, NAYEON and JEONGYEON of TWICE, SEUNGMIN of STRAY KIDS, MAKO of NIZIU, JEONGSOO of XDINARY HEROES, and GYEHUN of KICKFLIP. After nearly 20 years of playing a pioneering role in discovering new talent, this 20th generation will mark the end of this program, generating unprecedented interest and participation. JYP ENTERTAINMENT plans to continue selecting Kpop talents through various international auditions in the future.
The 20th generation public audition will begin on January 17, 2026, at Gwangju Ssangchon Youth Cultural Center, continue on January 18 at DCC Daejeon Convention Center, on January 24 and 25 at Busan Suyeong Youth Cultural Center and Daegu Youth Cultural Center Komjirak Development Center, and conclude with the Seoul audition on January 31 and February 1 at Jung‑gu Youth Center, covering the five main cities of the country. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to become trainees of JYP ENTERTAINMENT.
Applications for the audition, open from December 1, can be submitted through the official JYP ENTERTAINMENT audition website until 11:59 PM the day before each regional audition. Anyone born between 2008 and 2016 can apply, choosing only one field among five: singing, rap, dancing, modeling, or acting.
