The new sub-unit of SEVENTEEN, DOKYEOM X SEUNGKWAN, has announced warm music capable of melting the harsh winter cold.
The agency PLEDIS ENTERTAINMENT released on December 2 six track samplers of the first mini-album “소야곡” by DOKYEOM X SEUNGKWAN via the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel and SEVENTEEN’s official SNS. Although the titles of each track were not revealed, various music genres are presented, encouraging repeated listening.
The first video gently tickles the heart with a fresh group sound. A soft guitar line and a melody full of hope signal a pleasant beginning. In the second video, retro synthesizers and a playful guitar unfold, conveying positive energy to the listeners
The following video sparks curiosity with an enchanting atmosphere. A sophisticated electric piano and a funky guitar overlay a groovy rhythm, giving rise to a song that reveals a new facet of DOKYEOM X SEUNGKWAN. The fourth track sampler suggests a classic ballad perfect for winter. A simple yet resonant piano blends with a grand orchestration, creating a poignant ambiance.
In the fifth video, stacked layers of instruments offer a dramatic immersion. The last track sampler, marked by a masterful arrangement, is also unmissable. The beauty of the space left by the sound leaves a deep resonance. Furthermore, DOKYEOM X SEUNGKWAN will release “소야곡” on January 12 at 6 p.m. KST.
