BTS recorded a number of streams on Spotify for “Swim” that is approximately twice as high as for “Dynamite”.

On March 26, the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify published on its official social networks a post entitled “The bts effect“. According to Spotify, after the release of the fifth full album “ARIRANG” last March 20, the number of users who listened to a BTS song for the first time on the said platform climbed by more than 690%. This is proof that BTS, on the occasion of this new album, makes its presence known to a wide range of global listeners beyond its fandom.
The craze sparked by the “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG” held on the 21st near Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul also manifested in the rankings. Immediately after the performance, the streaming of the album jumped by about 120%. The past song “Mikrokosmos” presented on stage received great attention, with a 250% increase in the number of plays in Korea compared to the previous day.
“The bts effect” is also found on the main national rankings. According to the announcement of Circle Chart on the 26th, “ARIRANG” swept the board in the 12th week album chart (counting period: March 15-21), the retail album chart, the download chart, the V-Coloring chart and the Social Chart 3.0, thus climbing on five podiums.
