The new group YUHZ reveals its presence with content highlighting a bold youthful sensibility ahead of its debut single.
Through their first single “ORANGE RECORD”, they have launched their challenge in the “boy group” market by putting forward both a refreshing atmosphere and an honest message.
YUHZ (Hyo, Bohyeon, Haruto, Junseong, Jaeil, Kai, Yeontae, Sechan) presented the album sampler video for “ORANGE RECORD” on May 1 at midnight KST on its official social media. This video contained sound snippets of the title song “Rush rush” and the included track “Supalove”, giving a preview of the overall color of the new opus.
In the album sampler, the members’ excited voices flow against the backdrop of an orange vinyl record, revealing the unique atmosphere of YUHZ. With a structure combining the image of a disc and voices, they chose a format simultaneously conveying the pleasure of listening and visual elements.
The title song “Rush rush” was presented as a track capturing the will to charge forward without hesitation, even if one is clumsy. The vocal tone of YUHZ, carrying honest and bold aspects over a refreshing melody, added up to make this title a musical expression of the bold youthful image the group promotes.
The included song “Supalove” is a track with a concept reminiscent of a superhero, placing at the forefront the message of protecting the other with a “super love”. By taking on the role of revealing the musical identity pursued by YUHZ with lyrics full of confidence, it added energy in a different direction from that of the title song.
Before making the sound snippets known, YUHZ first moved on TikTok. On the 30th of last month, they accelerated the movement before their debut by presenting the “Rush rush” challenge video via their official account on the global short-form platform.
In the TikTok video, YUHZ sported a look with sporty vibrations and casual urban fashion. Relying on refreshing visuals harmonized with the blue sky, they highlighted a free atmosphere, thus visually revealing the brilliant energy of the song.
The choreography was also adjusted in an energy-filled direction. In the performance presented via TikTok, YUHZ conveyed the atmosphere of “Rush rush” centered on spontaneous movements and lively gestures, marking the start of the challenge in which global fans participate.
The group’s name contains the direction the team aims for. YUHZ is short for “Your Hertz”, carrying the meaning of connecting you and me by gathering the various emotions and waves scattered throughout the world into a single piece of music.
