“GREENGREEN” is the new opus presented by the group CORTIS, eight months after its debut with its first mini-album “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES” last September.

The album includes a total of six tracks, including the title song “Redred”, as well as “Tnt”, “Acai”, “Youngcreatorcrew”, “Wassup”, and “Blue lips”. The entire album will be available today at 6 p.m. KST on all music streaming platforms.
Continuing the momentum of their previous work, all the members appear in the credits, having collectively participated in the creation of the music, videos, and choreographies. Their agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, explained:
““GREENGREEN” is an album that seeks a raw naturalness, without being constrained by a specific concept or genre. The members have erased one by one the elements that the group is wary of to materialize and express their desires through music.”
The title song, “Redred”, uses the colors “Green” and “Red” as metaphors to illustrate respectively what the group seeks and what it wishes to avoid. This track, characterized by raw electronic sounds and a repetitive rhythm, was unveiled as a preview on the 20th of last month.
Among the other tracks, “Tnt” expresses the burning passion of the group, ready to explode. “Acai” was created inspired by the açaí bowl, the members’ favorite dish at the moment. “Youngcreatorcrew” delivers their sincere thoughts on the qualifier that defines the group, while “Wassup” sings about the emotions and daily life transformed since their debut. Finally, “Blue lips” addresses the themes of dreams and wounds.
According to distributors YG Plus and Universal Records, pre-orders for the album amounted to 2,397,188 copies as of April 30. CORTIS thus seems to be on track to claim the title of “double million seller” for the second time.
CORTIS will hold a “GreenGreen Release Party” tonight at 8 p.m. KST at the S-Factory in the Seongdong-gu district of Seoul to present its new tracks live. The evening will be broadcast live on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel and on the fan platform Weverse.
