I.O.I celebrates its 10th anniversary and releases its 3rd mini-album “I.O.I : LOOP” today (19).
On May 19, a representative of I.O.I stated:
“LIM NAYOUNG, CHUNGHA, KIM SEJEONG, JUNG CHAEYEON, KIM SOHYE, YOO YEONJUNG, CHOI YOOJUNG, KIM DOYEON, and JEON SOMI are going to release their 3rd mini-album “I.O.I : LOOP” and officially begin their activities.”
I.O.I, who is releasing a new album after 9 years, displays an even more solid teamwork. However, due to the failure of the participation of KANG MINA and KYULKYUNG, the group will not be active as a full 11-member group, but in the form of a 9-member group.
The new title track “Suddenly” is a track that delicately expresses the reminiscences and residual images of memories that arise unexpectedly without warning, and member JEON SOMI participated in writing the lyrics.
After the release of the album on May 19, I.O.I will debut their Asian tour at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from May 29 to 31.
I.O.I formed in 2016 through Mnet’s show “Produce 101” and debuted in May of the same year. The activities of I.O.I, which had started as a project, lasted less than a year, and after the dissolution, each conducted activities as solos and in groups.
