New launch and stronger activities.

The singer BoA embarked fully on her independence by directly announcing her first solo concert and the release of a new song since she left SM ENTERTAINMENT.
BoA directly shared the news of the holding of her fan-concert on May 20 through her social network service account. She will organize the concert “BoA THE MIC” on June 27 and 28 at the Yonsei University auditorium in the Seodaemun District in Seoul.
The same day, her new agency BAPAL ENTERTAINMENT also announced the holding of the show through its official account. It announced a new beginning with the phrase:
“At the very moment she stands before the microphone, time begins to flow again to the sound of BoA’s voice”.
In particular, this show holds a special meaning because it is the first solo concert that BoA presents under an independent label system after concluding a 25-year accompaniment with SM ENTERTAINMENT. BoA recently founded BAPAL ENTERTAINMENT, which bears her own name, and started her independent activities.
Before the concert, she will also release her new digital single “Ain’t no hard feelings” on May 30 at midnight KST. It is the first new song presented since the foundation of BAPAL ENTERTAINMENT.
Previously, BAPAL ENTERTAINMENT explained: “BoA chose a new structure in order to materialize her own musical direction in an even sharper way”. The company name contains the meaning of BoA and “Pal”, which means friend.
BoA is evaluated as the figure having opened the way for the overseas expansion of K-pop by leaving symbolic results in the Japanese and American markets since her debut in 2000. In particular, she led the flow of the beginning of the hallyu wave by establishing the first records for a Korean artist on the Japanese Oricon chart and the American “Billboard 200” notably.
Recently, she expanded her radius of activity not only to musical activities, but also to the fields of actress and producer. She appeared in the tvN drama “Marry my husband” and participated in the production of NCT WISH as an honorary director of SM ENTERTAINMENT. Last year, she released her 11th regular album “CRAZIER” commemorating the 25th anniversary of her debut.
