YORCH, the leader of the group POW, announces his takeoff as an international artist with the release of his first solo record, produced in collaboration with world-renowned musicians.
YORCH releases this May 22 at 6 p.m. KST his solo single “BLOW YOUR MIND (FEAT. SIK-K, BRYAN CHASE)”. After building a solid growth path through his activities with POW, he unveils with this work his own musical color and all his vocal charm as a solo artist.
This single is notably distinguished by its production, handled by the famous DJ and producer DIPLO alongside KING HENRY. R&B artists awarded at the Grammy Awards like LUCKY DAYE, or even SASHA ALEX SLOAN, also participated in the composition. To this are added the contributions of SIK-K and BRYAN CHASE in featuring, coming to perfect a track with a resolutely international sensibility.
Regarding this collaboration, YORCH shared his impressions with franchise: “These are artists that I already loved enormously, they are so famous and talented that I was at first deeply surprised. My gratitude was immense, but I also felt a certain pressure.” He added:
“As the expectation of the fans seemed large, I redoubled my efforts. This is a track for which I prepared a lot, so I hope the public will like it.”
Furthermore, YORCH confided the difficulties of solo work, very different from group dynamics. “During activities with POW, each member has their own part and their own color, which makes the vibe of the track evolve constantly to offer a varied listening experience. On the other hand, when you sing alone, the track relies on a single continuous tone, which can sometimes give an impression of monotony,” he explained. He continued:
“For this solo track, I paid a very special attention to the vocal part. I strove not to sing in one and the same tone,” thus revealing a much deeper musical reflection and maturity.
YORCH dedicated about three years of meticulous work and training to bring this song to life. By chaining corrections and recording sessions, he knew how to structure his own style and put all his heart into infusing his own identity in the middle of this collaboration with international heavyweights.
The first national solo single of YORCH, “BLOW YOUR LIND (FEAT. SIK-K, BRYAN CHASE)”, is unveiled this May 22.
