A drawing made during his lifetime by the late JONGHYUN, eternal member of the group SHINee, appeared as an item for sale on a secondhand commerce platform, captivating the attention of fans and the general public.
The seller clearly specified the provenance of the object by declaring: “It is a drawing that JONGHYUN personally made in May 2012, during the broadcast of the show “Weekly Idol” on MBC Every1”, before adding:
“I received it directly after being drawn in a lottery during an event related to the show. This is not a simple print, but a rare piece unique in the world, drawn and signed by JONGHYUN on drawing paper.”
He also specified: “The handwritten signature of JONGHYUN is clearly visible at the bottom of the drawing, and the paper shows some creases due to the passage of time”, thus completing: “I wish to hand it over to a person who is not too sensitive to small flaws, who perfectly understands its collection value and who will know how to keep it preciously.” It was verified that the seller also offers an album autographed by the artist for sale.
Recently, the successive appearance of celebrity drawings on secondhand platforms arouses both interest and controversy. Debuting in 2008 within SHINee, JONGHYUN had demonstrated extraordinary vocal abilities and singer-songwriter talents, before leaving this world in December 2017 at the age of 27, leaving behind an immense regret.
