New name, new era, the artist formerly known as KIM SAMUEL is preparing to shake up the musical scene with a project that already promises to be memorable.
The artist has just lifted the veil on the official tracklist of his upcoming opus through a teaser with a slightly more retro and rock style. Dressed in a black leather jacket and turning his back to the lens, SAMUELITO offers a condensed project of four mysterious tracks that are already intriguing the web. The opus will thus open with the track “Hola!”, an introduction that resonates like a greeting to his community, followed by the tracks “ZIGI-ZIGI-ZIGI”, the melancholy “Never say goodbye…” and finally the track “DDOOK-DDAK”. This mixture of titles with international consonances and more urban expressions suggests a clever balance and brand new sonic explorations.
This announcement marks a major turning point since KIM SAMUEL officially changed his name in mid-May to become SAMUELiTO. This change of visual and textual identity, tinged with maturity and rawer influences, is moreover perfectly reflected in the shared visuals. Between the close-ups on textured silver jewelry, the leather details and this dimmed atmosphere, the chosen imagery confirms that the artist is stepping off the beaten path to embrace a much more personal, assertive and visceral universe.
