POW - DONGYEON
The member DONGYEON of the group POW had the pain of losing his father.
The agency GRID Entertainment stated on June 13, via an official position, that the father of DONGYEON “passed away at the dawn of this day after a long fight against the disease”. Faced with this sudden sad news, DONGYEON and the bereaved family mourn the deceased in deep sadness.
Currently, DONGYEON is watching over the funeral home alongside his family and is proceeding with the funeral formalities. Consequently, the official programs planned for the moment as well as communication with fans are also temporarily suspended.
The agency transmitted: “Matters relating to the resumption of activities will be announced later”, and “We ask for your warm comfort and your consideration so that the artist and the bereaved family can have sufficient time of mourning”.
Furthermore, POW, to which DONGYEON belongs, is a 5-member boy group composed of YORCH, HYUNBIN, JUNGBIN, DONGYEON and HONG. It deployed activities with “Come true” in January of this year, and pursued recently strong global activities by organizing notably fan signing sessions and fan events in the main cities of China. In addition, it proves its musical ability by presenting notably self-composed songs of the members through the project “THE DEMO TAPE”.
