SEUNGMIN, a member of STRAY KIDS, performed an excerpt of “The day”, a song from the new album, himself.
STRAY KIDS unveiled on August 3 on its official channels the video “UNVEIL : TRACK” presenting track number 7 “The day” from its new mini-album “THIS & THAT”.
Setting against the background a landscape blending the sound of rain and soothing guitar playing, SEUNGMIN performed the lyrics “The day we laughed together, the day we turned on a movie while only looking at each other, that day (우리 같이 웃었던 날, 영화를 틀어놓고 서로만 봤던 날, 그날)”, thus revealing the main section of the track. “The day” is a song that looks back on moments shared with a past love. Centered on a calm melody and the soft voice of SEUNGMIN, it incorporates an emotion reminiscent of memories of a first love and a summer night. HAN, a member of the group’s internal production team 3RACHA, participated in the creation of the track. HAN exclusively took charge of writing the lyrics and composing “The day”, thus perfecting the story and sound of the track.
In this new album, a total of 8 songs are included, comprising the title track of the same name “This & That”, the pre-released song “Run it”, “After you”, “Farming”, “I do”, “Way out”, “The day”, and “This & That (Festival Version)”. Through tracks of various genres and atmospheres, the members integrated diverse musical directions into a single opus, reflecting the album title.
Ahead of its comeback, the group also released a digital album entitled “SKZ-REPLAY 2026 PT.1” on August 1 to celebrate the 8th anniversary of the creation of its fandom STAY. In this album, a total of 17 tracks were included, notably the Korean version of “Battle ground” (a song from their 1st Japanese studio album “THE SOUND”), unreleased compositions, as well as solo tracks from each member.
STRAY KIDS held the first concerts of its new world tour “Stray Kids World Tour -RUN IT-” at the KSPO DOME in the Songpa District of Seoul on July 25, 26, and 29, and on August 1 and 2. After completing these Seoul concerts spread across 5 performances, the group will continue its activities for its new album.
Since its debut, the members of STRAY KIDS have directly participated in the production of their albums, shaping the group’s music and identity. The new mini-album “THIS & THAT” and its title track “This & That” will be available on August 7 at 1 p.m. KST on various music sites.
