HYBE‘s new girl group, TUIDE, enters the official countdown to its debut.
TUIDE (Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah, Yihani) revealed on the afternoon of August 5 the promotion schedule for its first mini-album “TUNE & PLAY”. Through this schedule, the title of the lead track for their debut, “Sun kiss”, was revealed for the first time.
“Sun kiss” is a track that evokes bright moments like the sun, announcing a bright and warm atmosphere. The schedule is also composed of various visual elements such as brightly colored flag decorations, a tent, and wooden signs, capturing a free and lively vibe reminiscent of a summer camp.
TUIDE will continue its debut promotion starting August 7 with “GET TO KNOW TUIDE” and “MEET MY GRLS”. On the 10th and 12th, content for the “WE TUNE” and “WE PLAY” versions, inspired by the album name, will be unveiled.
On the 14th, an album preview will be presented, followed by the content “HOW WE TUNE & PLAY” on the 17th. Then, the music video teasers for “Sun kiss” will come out on the 20th and 22nd, followed by music video photos on the 23rd sequentially. The first mini-album “TUNE & PLAY” and the music video for the title track “Sun kiss” will be released on the 24th at 6 p.m. KST.
“TUNE & PLAY” is an album that combines “Tune”, meaning the tuning of different musical languages into a single rhythm, and “Play”, representing the pleasure found in it. It contains the musical direction of TUIDE, which aims to offer a new trend on the global market thanks to a sound that transcends the boundaries of generations, cultures, and languages.
In addition, TUIDE is the first girl group presented by ABD, the new label under HYBE Music. The group’s name was inspired by the phrase “Tune the tide”, which means “tuning the flux”. The group’s name contains the ambition to experiment and tune various fluxes of the world in order to create new pleasures.
The overall production of TUIDE is handled by Han Sung Soo, Master Professional (MP) and former representative of Pledis Entertainment. Han Sung Soo has so far produced SEVENTEEN, AFTER SCHOOL, IZ*ONE, TWS, etc.
