The group UNCHILD returns as a “singular hero”.
UNCHILD released on August 21 the weapons motion video for its second digital single “TING TING”, announcing the expansion of a unique universe.
In the published video, different weapons symbolizing each member appear one by one like objects within a game. Objects whose name, shape, and function are far removed from existing hero equipment, such as “COLOR BLASTER”, “RECORDER CAMERA”, “SCOUTER”, “SPRAY BOMBS” or “SKATEBOARD”, attract attention. The appearance, which seems to have been completed by combining left and right everyday objects that can easily be seen around oneself, shows UNCHILD’s own color.
The eccentric configurations added to each weapon, which seem to have been awkwardly designed, also add fun. When picking up a weapon, high-pressure color is projected to change the color of the hit target, or to analyze the position, capability, and weak points of the opponent. Sometimes, it amplifies the power of music to transform it into powerful energy before laying low the enemy in an instant, thus presenting hard-to-predict functions here and there that trigger laughter. To this are added witty configurations, completing the character at once joyful and extraordinary proper to UNCHILD.
Previously, UNCHILD had hinted for the first time at the universe of the new work through a logo video reminiscent of a retro game screen, revealing abnormal signs from reality, glitch patterns detected in the four corners of the city, as well as a message requesting UNCHILD’s intervention. In this weapons motion video, by revealing one by one the objects possessed by each member, the aspect of this “singular hero” that was covered with a veil was depicted in a more precise manner.
UNCHILD landed in the music world last April with its first debut single “WE ARE UNCHILD”. UNCHILD is a newcomer presented by High Up Entertainment about 6 years after the group STAYC, and benefited from great interest even before its debut. It notably created a sensation as a group to which NA HA EUN belongs, who had made a name for herself as a “dance child prodigy” through shows such as “Star King” or the “2018 Melon Music Awards”.
Attention is focused on the eccentric and joyful hero narration that UNCHILD, who built its own color through a free sense freed from frameworks as well as an unpredictable personality, will complete through “TING TING”.
