The group UNIS embarks on music show activities with a new remake song.
UNIS (Hyeonju, Nana, Gehlee, Yoona, Kotoko, Yunha, Elisia, Seowon) will appear on September 10 on the show “M Countdown” on Mnet to present the performance of its remake single “하늘땅 별땅”.
“하늘땅 별땅” is a reinterpretation with UNIS‘s own colors of the hit song of the same name by the female duo BB, released in 1997. While retaining the sparkling melody and dynamic energy of the original song, it adds a kitsch sensitivity with Y2K vibes as well as a trendy K-pop sound.
In the promotional video released on September 8 at the same time as the track, a retro style fully showcasing the track’s atmosphere and the varied performances of UNIS were captured. In particular, it raised expectations for this new track by stimulating nostalgia for the original song while adding the refreshing charm unique to UNIS.
On the stage of the music show, the performance constitutes the key point of the spectacle. UNIS completed a new stage while retaining the symbolic key choreography of the original track while adding movements capable of showing the sparkling colors of the group. Added to this is the overflowing energy of vitality of the eight members to convey simultaneously the nostalgia of the original song and the unique charm of UNIS.
UNIS is also continuing its successes in its global activities this year. After completing its first American tour last March after its debut, the group has recently been increasing its presence in its activities in Japan.
In particular, its first Japanese mini-album “UNI☆SPARKLE!” released last July rose in the main local charts such as Oricon, Billboard Japan and USEN, thus expanding the bases of its activities in Japan.
