Group UP10TION comes back with 8 members.
The new UP10TION album paints an illusory portrait of the group.
Available in two versions: ‘Moment‘ and ‘Illusion‘,the theme of this mini album is based on the dream of a summer night. It tries to portray the group that enters a dream, like the fantasy of a summer’s day.
In the “Moment” version, expect a refreshing look of UP10TION. As for the version “Illusion“, it creates a dreamlike atmosphere in a fantastic world.
This opus consists of six songs whose the main title is “Your Gravity“. And all the members have participated in the production of the album, thus showing their growth as artists.
About the title “Your Gravity“, it demonstrates the dynamic energy and power that fill every second of the song. This one tells about an incomparable strength, a message for those whom the speaker likes. Just like gravity, it refers to the true and timeless heart of this orator.
PERFORMANCE: The powerful “Gravity Dance” will make your heart vibrate.
As their previous albums show, UP10TION has once again come back with powerful performances. A constant variation of step in the configuration of the choreography and a perfect synchronization in the movements, to entertain your eyes.
The new UP10TION album is available in two versions, which contain images of contrasting themes:
– In the “Moment” version, the members are exuberantly portrayed as traveling friends wearing natural but colorful clothing.
– In contrast, the “Illusion” version envisages a trip to a dream country. The members turn into elves, aristocrats and scouts, and are connected by mysterious potions to the land of dreams.
The group then went into the questions and answers session with the MC and the journalists:
What can you tell us, briefly, about the new album?
BITTO: We did a lot of dance performance for this album.
SUNYOUL: You will see our growth as musicians.
GYUJIN: We will perform a stage that will exceed your expectations.
HWANHEE: We will do our best.
XIAO: We will not let our fans down.
Can you tell us a bit more about your tour in North America? What did you like the most?
JINHOO: We went to six cities and met a lot of American fans.
KHUN: When we went to Toronto, in Canada, we saw the Niagara Falls, and it was beautiful.
Before this comeback, some of you did other things individually. Can you tell us a bit about it?
GYUJIN: I appeared in a web drama. It was rewarding and quite stressful. Thanks to my fans and their support, I was able to overcome my fear. I want to do more in the future.
SUNYOUL: Since June, I started downloading videos on YouTube called “SUNYOULIVE”. I wanted to let the fans listen to good music. I am currently taking a leave of absence from YouTube for this album, but soon I will come back with good versions. Please wait for me impatiently.
BITTO: On August 6th, HYUN WOO and I composed a song called ‘ANALOG’.
Is there anything funny that happened during the shooting?
HWANHEE: There was a heavy rain, suddenly, in the middle of the shooting, and so some of us had to hold umbrellas, which was totally unexpected. However, the pictures were good.
GYUJIN: Especially when my turn to shoot came, it was starting to rain a lot. So my clothes and my shoes were wet.
Many of you have participated in the composition of the songs of the album. How was it?
BITTO: KHUN and I participated in writing the lyrics of each song. Because each song was very different, this writing was quite difficult but interesting.
Do you want to say something to your fans?
HWANHEE: It’s thanks to Honey10 that we were able to make a comeback. We want to say, “Let’s walk the flowery path.” (An expression that means “no more tears“)
When journalists were able to speak, it goes without saying that they immediately talked about the absentees.
Two members are absent. What differences does it make? What arrangements did UP10TION have to make?
GYUJIN: Because of our different schedules, they could not participate in this album. However, we are always watching and listening to each other’s comments.
SUNYOUL: We have not really decided how UP10TION would be organized, but we have our two members in our heart.
KHUN: We put even more effort to compensate for the absence of the two members.
Will they join the group after their activities?
KHUN: During this year we will only be eight. We have not yet planned their participation.
The two boys’ participation in Produce X 101 gave you a special opportunity.
KOGYEOL: Thanks to the two members who appeared in PRODUCE X 101 and gave UP10TION some public attention. We want to make the most of this opportunity and make ourselves known by the greatest number.
GYUJIN: We are really grateful to both members for the advertising they have done to us. We will improve to deserve the publicity.
When you said you wanted to become the “idols of gravity”, what did you mean? More precisely?
KHUN: Since there are still a lot of people who do not know us, we want to make a strong impression and people say, “Why don’t we know them?”
You said you exchanged comments with the other two members. What did they tell you? More precisely?
GYUJIN: We have a discussion group on Kakao Talk. We put our dance practice videos online and then share comments on our weaknesses.
HWANHEE: They spoke to me privately and told me to be better at dancing.
What do you think about seeing WOOO SEOK in a different team?
SUNYOUL: We have spent so much time together since we were trainees. We are like a family, so we are always happy for the success of other members. I wish we were together here, but I know we will meet in TV shows.
JINHOO: I’m sure he will succeed whatever he does.
The group UP10TION has just made a comeback with its new mini-album and the title “Your gravity“.
