Girlsband (G)I-DLE has finally met the members of it’s brand new official fan club.
Yesterday in the end of the afternoon, the members of the girlsband (G)I-DLE had the chance to spend a very meaningful time with some of their fans for they held an inauguration ceremony of the band’s official fan club. This ceremony was called ‘Welcome to the NEVERLAND’ in reference to the fan club’s name. It was held at the YES24 LIVE HALL.
The event was led by rapper JUNG IL HOON, member of the boy band BTOB. The girls opened the ceremony with «Blow Your Mind», written by member MINNIE herself, and «LATATA», the song that was band’s debut back in May 2018.
After that, members shared some of their personal pictures with fans. They had also prepared games such as the 이구동성 게임(i gu dong-seong game) which is to give the right answer to the question within ten seconds, or the 너의 노래는? (neo-ui no-rae-neun) game which is to guess the title of a song after hearing few seconds of of it.
Member YUQI‘s birthday being the following day of the event, the members and the fans decided to organize a surprise birthday party. When YUQI went up on stage the public started to sing the «Happy Birthday» song and the five other members brought a birthday cake. The now 20-year-old YUQI declared «It is the first time for me to celebrate my birthday on stage with my fans. It is a weird feeling. I am very happy». She even shed tears of joy.
As the girls performed songs from their second mini-album called I MADE, they went down from the stage to get closer to their fans and to give them gifts they had personally made.
(G)I-DLE closed the ceremony with a brief but touching speech: «It is the first time for us to meet the members of our fan club and we were really nervous before going up on stage. But thanks to you and to your love, we spent a wonderful evening. We are planning on holding many events like this one so we deeply hope that you will always support us».
