Group IKON unveils the main poster for their new album.
This January 29th, it is on its SNS that IKON unveils the main poster of its third mini-album “i DECIDE“. the poster shows the first group photo of IKON reorganized into a group of six members attracting the attention of fans.
IKON still has a strong aura. The clothes worn by the group give a feeling of unification with a touch of red representing IKON.
The eyes and facial expressions of IKON members, posing in front of a light white background, show their more mature changes.
IKON announced a comeback on February 6th. Previously, they sent serious messages via a new video teaser for the concept of the album and video clips containing keywords.
In particular, the BOBBY’s monologue left the words in mind:
“I am me. I define myself. I am the reason for everything. Why not? I decide” inspiring the extraordinary will of IKON.
YG Entertainment asked fans to understand and encourage IKON members for this new starting point.
With this photo YG Entertainment made an explanatory statement on certain points.
In this press release YG Entertainment clarifies certain things in relation to this new album.
This will include a total of 5 songs which were originally recorded in early 2019 for release in mid-2019. But that following the departure of B.I., who was the leader and producer of the group, the release of the album was postponed until later.
YG Entertainment said that two problems arose:
Because B.I. was enormously involved in the production of the songs, the writing of the lyrics and of course the recording of these.
In are communicated YG Entertainment announces that the agency and the members made the decision not to completely delete the work of B.I. because he worked hard to produce this work.
So it was decided to re-record the voices so that it corresponds to the new form of the group, but to keep the production which turned into a collaboration between B.I. and the producers of YG Entertainment.
In this press release YG Entertainment specifies, that indeed these excuses are late, compared to the pain caused to the members and the fans, but that it will do everything to protect the members of IKON in the future and hopes that you will be able to bring the supports that they deserve.
The IKON’s comeback will take place on February 6th with their new opus “I DECIDE“.
