“I want to meet the members in Korea as soon as possible and prepare for our comeback.”
These are the words of HANDONG, member of the group DREAMCATCHER, with JIU, SUA, SIYEON, YOOHYEON, DAMI, and GAHYEON. HANDONG, who announced her participation in the Chinese youth group audition program “Youth With You” earlier this year, has yet to return to Korea, although the program ended early last month.
This is because of the consequences of Covid19. HANDONG’s hometown is Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, the origin of Coronavirus. An official from Dreamcatcher Company, her agency, said, “HANDONG has a passport in Wuhan, so he cannot issue airline tickets at this time.” He added: “HANDONG is currently watching the Covid19 trend in Beijing, receiving personal training for the DREAMCATCHER’s comeback.”
In the midst of growing fan concerns about the situation, HANDONG said and reassured fans in a daily newspaper for a written interview saying, “We do our best in a given situation to reappear in front of our fans as we grow up.” Here are the questions and answers from this interview.

We heard that you are currently living in China. We would like to know what you are doing to yourself.
△ We work with a variety of training schedules to help us make our comeback with DREAMCATCHER and show you better performance. I want to meet the members as soon as possible, chat, eat delicious food together and get ready to meet the fans.

What do you think about participating in the local “Youth With You” audition program?
△ I thought it was a chance to meet my fans in China and take another step forward. I learned that I needed to show my own personality and my charm to seduce the public thanks to “Youth With You“. It was an opportunity to realize that we still have to grow.

What are the results of your experience in “Youth With You”.
△ I think that I have been able to meet good friends thanks to this program and to make DREAMCATCHER known to more people. The most important thing is that I have above all been able to improve my abilities.

You were unable to return to Korea the day after Covid19. How is the local atmosphere?
△ It is going in a better direction. Everyone is overcoming difficult times with positive thoughts, and we hope things will get better as soon as possible so that we can share our daily life as before. I want to express my gratitude and support to all the hard working medical staff.

Is there a message you want to send to your fans.
△ I really want to meet my fans, but I’m sorry I can’t do it. It’s going to be a long wait, but I look forward to meeting you. Until then, I hope you will not get tired and that you will overcome difficult times well. Everyone, wait with a smile until we meet again.

What is the preparation for the DREAMCATCHER’s comeback ?
△ “Family Dreamcatcher” and many people are working hard for the return of DREAMCATCHER. Please understand that it is difficult to tell you more about our return at this time. I will do my best in a given environment to be better before you.

Is there anything you really want to do after you return to Korea and resume your activities ?
△ First of all, I would like to talk about things that I couldn’t talk about with the members of DREAMCATCHER. I contact them from time to time, but I also want to see them in person. And as a member of DREAMCATCHER, I want to go on stage and meet my fans. My wish is to reimburse you with a first place for your love. I think DREAMCATCHER has grown so much. I will do my best to make the day come as soon as possible.
