IKON‘s members KIM JIN HWAN (26) and KOO JUN HOE (23) were involved in a traffic accident.
According to YG Entertainment, a van with members of IKON, KIM JIN HWAN and KOO JUN HOE on board skidded in the rain at 3:40 am on July 13th on the single-lane national highway in Changseon-myeon, Namhae-gun, South Gyeongsang Province.
Driver A, KIM JIN HWAN and KOO JUN HOE were treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries. They were allegedly involved in the accident while driving in a rented van.
At the time of the accident, A’s blood alcohol level was greater than 0.08%.
The police instigated A for suspected driving while intoxicated (traffic violation) and are also examining the cases of KIM JIN HWAN and KOO JUN HOE who are suspected of involuntary complicity.
According to YG Entertainment, KIM JIN HWAN and KOO JUN HOE are currently in stable condition in their homes after receiving emergency treatment.
YG Entertainment said: “Although we have strict internal rules for the consumption of alcohol, we feel very deeply involved and responsible for this accident. We sincerely apologize. Adding: “We will investigate the facts further and take tough action that matches them, and the driver will respond faithfully to the police investigation.“
