JESSICA, former member of the group Girls’ Generation, will publish a novel with autobiographical stories.

According to online bookstores like Yes24 on September 17th, JESSICA will release her first novel “Shine“, which tells an autobiographical story, on September 29th.

Shine” is a novel about life and love that the brightest girl on the scene must have hidden behind it.

It’s a story that happens when Korean-American Rachel Kim, who dreams of becoming a K-pop star, is selected as an intern at DB Entertainment, a large agency that only allows perfection, and meets the star Jason Lee.

Shine” incorporates the experience of JESSICA. The editor said he realistically portrayed the long life of practice that K-pop stars have to go through, the harsh evaluation of countless people, strict rules, endless timing and jealousy.

Shine” is classified as an Anglo-American novel and translated into Korean. Eleven countries, including Korea, Brazil, Indonesia and Vietnam, have copyright contracts and will be released simultaneously.

Additionally, Netflix’s original production crew “내가 사랑 했던 모든 남자들 에게 (To All the Boys I Love)” has been confirmed for possible adaptation.

JESSICA is currently working on a sequel to “Bright”.

JESSICA made her debut as a member of Girls’ Generation in 2007 and left the group in September 2014. Since then she has been a solo singer, fashion designer and businesswoman.
