Following screening for BITTO, of the group UP10TION, all members were tested.
Group UP10TION’s agency, TOP Media, said in an official position:
“Following the December 1st test, everyone involved in any possible contact, such as UP10TION members, our employees and staff, with BITTO were tested for Covid19. And we have also made sure that the artists who have potentially encountered our artist, and therefore may be people at risk following this contact, face the same.”
“The test showed KOGYEOL to be positive. KUHN, GYUJIN, HWAN HEE, SUN YOUL and XIAO tested negative, but began a two-week self-quarantine as a contact case. The agency said,“ KOGYEOL follow the guidelines of the quarantine authorities, and we will once again review the movements of members and staff who are at risk of further infection, carefully carry out further quarantine and follow-up measures, in order to do our best to manage sanitation and our artists in the face of Covid19.“
Earlier on November 30th, UP10TION‘s BITTO tested positive for Covid19, following contact with another person who tested positive, putting the K-pop industry on alert. He recently appeared on various musical programs as a result of the group’s comeback, with group’s mini-album “LIGHT UP“. Fortunately, the singers who appeared together tested negative and no other confirmed cases have been specified yet.
