ASTRO - CHA EUNWOO
On March 30, we are celebrating LEE DONGMIN‘s birthday, who is better known as CHA EUNWOO.
CHA EUNWOO is a singer, an actor, a MC, a model and one of ASTRO‘s members. His fans know that he is a good pianist, he can speak English and he can have a crazy side when he plays with his co-members. Many think that he is cold, handsome but he proved that he is also smart, so he earned the nickname of “Face Genius”. Pictures of him as a child were posted on social networks and proved that he has always been this handsome.
CHA EUNWOO became a trainee of Fantagio when he was a teenager and started to work on acting, singing and dancing before being a part of ITEEN project with the company’s other trainees. This project’s aim was to show the daily life of the trainees and reveal short clips of their projects to showcase their talents.
Then, he became a member of Fantagio’s new group in 2015, after years of training. The trainees had to create performances that had to be done on Lotte World’ stage in front of an audience. The company chose the best ones to create ASTRO in early 2015. CHA EUNWOO and the other members filmed their pre debuts mini web-drama “To Be Continued”, and then, they performed in several cities in Korea to meet their fans through the “Meet U project”. CHA EUNWOO debuted on February 23, 2016 as a member of ASTRO with a first mini-album entitled “Spring Up”.
Since that day, he made many comebacks with the group over the years and his voice became more and more powerful, so he was able to have more lines in their songs. During the promotion with “Knock” in 2020, he was able to show the stability of his voice as we can see in the video under.
In addition to his career as a singer, he became popular as an entertainer, a model and an actor. He participated in many TV entertainment shows such as “Replies That Make Us Flutter” or “Law of the Jungle”. Despite all of his solo activities, he always says that ASTRO is his number one priority, because without his co-members, he would not be the one he is now.
In 2017, he played in a drama by KBS2 “Hit the Top” and the web-drama “Revenge Note”. In 2018, he acted in “Top Management” and the popular romantic drama, “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty”, which was his first lead role. In 2019, he appeared in “Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung” for his second lead role. And in late 2020, CHA EUNWOO was casted as one of the lead roles for drama “True Beauty” based on a popular webtoon and he bacame even more popular afterwards.
CHA EUNWOO gained more and more popularity after the broadcast of his dramas and was chosen to appear in “GQ Korea” magazine in late 2018. He was a model for many magazines over the years thanks to his great body and amazing facial features. He also participated in 2020 Seoul Fashion Week alongside many professional models.
