In this episode, the group IKON showed us a real performance that mixed the creativity of the boys with their delightful choreography.
Arrived the last of the classification, it was a hard blow for the group. An announcement that did not only have the effect of a disappointment but a real surprise among the rest of the participants.
During the solo interviews, the boys were smiling as they took the blame. SONG, who is a bit of a voice of reason in the group, emphasized that now they could only bounce back and move up in the rankings.
Unlike the other participants, IKON had put their strength on performance. The others had a conceptualized idea behind the introductions.
Determined not to be overwhelmed and especially to move up in the rankings, the group got some help from friends like CHANI from SF9, MINO from WINNER and the leader SEUNGYOON.
The group turned to a mashup of the two most famous songs of their repertoire: « Love scenario » and « Killing Me ».
The two songs with the subject of the breakup are however not similar. One is about a departure almost on a common agreement, comparing their story to a melodramatic scenario. While the second is a breakup that kills, realizing the mistakes of letting the person they loved go after a goodbye.
« Love scenario » then became a song with a little more rhythm, going on an idea of musical. A cinematographic style often confused with a musical, except that it is a film with music, singing or dancing. Moreover, their beige raincoats can remind us of this film which is a masterpiece in the genre « Singin in the rain ».
Then, the reality hits us with « Killing Me », DK collapsing on the dancers with a change of atmosphere, becoming darker and heavier. The screens and lights that were so colorful and warm give way to a mosaic effect of intermittence.
The boys interpreting then a person who is dying that to have made the mistake of having chosen to break up with their other-half.
The choreography was perfected and both the band and the fans were delighted to have a performance worthy of KINGDOM. At the end, the members were satisfied with their performance even if they hope to improve.
