TREASURE: Their agency no longer accepts gifts from fans

YG Entertainment has announced that it will no longer be accepting gifts from fans for their boy group TREASURE.

The first birthday of boy group TREASURE is just around the corner. Indeed, the twelve members who compose it debuted on August 7th, 2020 with their first single album “THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE“, with the song “Boy”. To mark the occasion, many fans, TREASURE MAKERS, were planning to send the boys gifts to celebrate the event with them. But their agency YG Entertainment cut short all these preparations today by issuing a statement, announcing that it will no longer accept gifts intended for TREASURE as of Saturday, August 7, 2021.

First of all, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the fans who passionately show their love and support for TREASURE, a group of our agency.

Our statement is for fans who prepare and send gifts to express their sincerity to artists, with genuine dedication.

While we know that you are preparing gifts to celebrate a special day with TREASURE by forging wonderful memories together, and in the hope that those heartfelt feelings and devotion will be better conveyed through the heart rather than through material gifts directly delivered, We have decided to stop receiving supportive gifts and other gifts by post, except fan letters, effective August 7 (Saturday) 2021.

Therefore, all gifts and supportive gifts sent by post or expedited service, with the exception of fan letters, will be returned to sender, or discharged without notice.

If you prepared some type of support gift, we will respectfully decline it and hope your understanding and cooperation.

We ask you to show love and support so that TREASURE can grow as a group of positively influencing artists, thanks to the love and cooperation of all the fans.

Nevertheless, YG Entertainment specifies that it is still accepting letters from fans. However, these will have to meet many conditions to be accepted: they must be handwritten and sent with envelopes of the “send by individuals” type to the following address: 7, Huiujeong-ro 1-gil (Hapjeong-dong), YG Entertainment (Artist name), Mapo-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea. Senders are requested not to send them on fast service, otherwise they will be returned to them.

In summary, apart from paper envelopes, all items such as boxes, flowers, balloons for example as well as papers presented in the form of notes or books will not be given to the artists. The agency also advises that it will not notify senders of receipt of letters.

Boy group TREASURE released their latest Korean album in January 2020 “THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT” and have just completed the second season of their TREASURE MAP reality show. The members also mentioned in the last episode that their comeback was very soon. A news that greatly delighted the fans a few days before the first anniversary of the group.
